Opel Insignia safe family car.

The INSIGNIA BEST IN DEKRA FAULTS REPORT.

The Insignia is the vehicle with the fewest defects according to the results of the DEKRA Faults Report 2011. With an index of 96.1 percent fault-free Insignias, the Opel flagship achieved the best result of all tested cars. Since it was launched in 2008, the Insignia, “Car of the Year 2009”, has received over 40 international awards for its attractive design and innovative technology. This is the second consecutive year an Opel vehicle took this honor following the Corsa’s victory in the “Best Individual Ranking” category in 2010. The DEKRA generates its annual faults report by conducting precise type assessment in eight vehicle type classes and three kilometer reading ranges. The faults report is based on data from 15 million inspections made on 230 different models.
The INSIGNIA OPC UNLIMITED.

The INSIGNIA OPC UNLIMITED.

We just took the leash off of the most powerful production Opel of all time. After removal of electronic maximum speed restrictor, the Insignia OPC ‘Unlimited’ now has a top speed of 270 km/h. This top model will fully exploit the potential of the vehicle’s driving dynamics. And to make sure that you can do the same, the ‘Unlimited’ customer package includes an OPC performance driving training course on the Opel proving grounds in Dudenhofen.

The driving performance of the new ‘Unlimited’ variant is identical to that of the speed-restricted versions, apart from the higher top speed. Insignia OPCs can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 6.0 to 6.6 seconds, depending on body style and transmission. Combined-cycle fuel consumption and CO2 emissions range from 10.6 l/100 km and 249 g/km to 11.0 l/100 km and 259 g/km.

The Insignia OPC 'Unlimited' is visually distinguished by a blue Brembo logo and a newly-designed tachometer and speedometer. A special edition of the vehicle is also planned with a matt black wrapping.

The performance flagship of the Opel model range comes with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission in all body styles: four-door notchback, five-door hatchback, and Sports Tourer OPC station wagon.
